If you had to live as an animal for the rest of your life, which creature would you choose to inhabit?
A devon rex cat for sure! They are such a playfull and happy cats.
For the first time in years, we have a very cold winter. It's freezing for quite some time now, last week the lowest temperature was -21 degrees celcius in the south of Holland. For the first time our kids can go ice skating and they love it very much. For me it was less funny cause I had to walk on the ice the first days with a kid hanging on each arm! But it is a joy to see how fast they learn. It's the first time in 12 years that people are able to skate on nature ice!Ice skates are as good as sold out in the stores!
I want to share this picture my husband made of how it looks outside. If you look closely, you can see a black cat sitting on the ice.
Everything is so white cause we had a lot of fogg.
Another picture...
The babies are over 5 weeks old now and they all eat raw meat and some dry food and they now all use the litterbox.
They are all so sweet, but now I start to see the different personality's which is so gorgeous I think. Chester, the tabby and white is a little rascal. He climbs out the kittencage and runs around in our living room. Charlie is a sweetheart, he likes to sit on my lap and just cuddle and Casanova, he is a little carefull, but eats the most of all. Our Bliss loves the kittens, I think she will be an excellent mom in the future! Eva is a bad girl, she only spanks the kittens around, soI have to be carefull with her.
Here is a picture of them... I now think it's a tough decission who to keep..hopefully time will tell! :)
Dolcie's babies are over 3 weeks old and they are so funny, they are playing with eachother and screaming for attention!
Dolcie is a bit restless sometimes and then starts to drag them to anoher spot. At first she put them in a closet full of clothes, so we removed the clothes and secured the doors. She is so protective with her babies!
Here is a picture of my favorite kitten, Casanova, I think he will be the one who will stay here!
Here is a picture of my 2 favorite girls! Donna on the front is 35 days pregnant on the picture and her tummy is starting to get bigger. She and Bliss are real friends at the moment and are always sleeping together.
My husband bought some stuff to make his own photo studio at home, so we are experiencing a lot with taking pictures.
Today it was very clear that our Donna is pregnant! The kittens are expected around January 24, so it is very exciting!
Binkie is going to be a dad already.
Dolcie's kittens are developping very well, they are so adorable. They are starting to play with mum, it's so sweet to look at. I can look at them the whole day...lol
After a long wait and a very long sleepless night, 3 babies were born! They are all boys and they are doing very well. There is a black tabby, a black tabby with white and a black one, birthweights were 102, 104 and 99 grams, so they are quite big. Unfortunate mom got a mastitis and is on antibiotics now, but she is recovering very well and feeling much better already. The kittens are still gaining weight properly.
I am hoping to keep a little boy, maybe the black one, but gladly there is enough time to think about it.
Here is a picture of mom and her babies:
on Blizzie!
